Our Vision for Saldanha Bay

Our vision for Saldanha Bay is to create an enabling environment that promotes sustainable economic growth and job creation.

We are working with government and key partners to enable a new urbanity through the diversification and transformation of a historically under-developed and under-supported economic sector and community. Ushering-in a body of new social possibilities for the people of Saldanha Bay.

Freeport Saldanha is a strategic government initiative and a delivery partner for South Africa’s National Development Plan (NDP) goals, actively supporting key programmes such as Operation Phakisa to achieve a collective vision for the country. Project Khulisa is a provincial partnership initiative with the Western Cape Government focusing on growing the province’s economy through job creation and opportunities.

Together, we are shaping a better future for the community of Saldanha Bay, the province of the Western Cape and South Africa.
